need help with slide/glide? effect        Go on top to this Page

I need help with getting a particular sound in Claw (and it also applies to some other VSTs)
Ok. say I have edit mode off and just press keys on the keyboard to get a sound, say
Q for C-5, etc. When I press and hold down Q and then press I or C-6 I get a slide effect (or hammer-on for the guitarists out there ;-p ).
How do I get this same effect via commands or tweakings, or some other way in the pattern editor? (i've read commands and tweakings.txt , but can't find anything about it)

This isn't done using pattern commands (I don't think VSTs have any). To get the portamento effect you need to play a note on channel one and then another on channel two. Just don't cut off the first note.
