More VST issues

The preset banks seem to get very large for some VSTs.
I had a 13mb preset bank for Crystal with only one preset in it. Hex editor revelaed maybe +-1k data and the rest was just 00.
I deleted all the big banks, and haven't had time to investigate, but I thought this might interest the devteam.

Oh, and some, at least GakStoar A complain that "the current preset file is not up to date with the plugin" and the presets are lost? Is this my error or Psycles? Did I just screw something up?

Should sending MIDI note-on data to VST effects work? Many gating plugins are triggered by MIDI note-on, but this doesn't seem to work? There was some that coul be triggered by setting the trigger parameter with a TWK in the pattern view, but this didn't work for the MIDI triggered gaters I tried.
So if this is not supported, it might be a easy and very useful feature to add in some future version.

i dont think psycle sends any midi data (notes or ccs) to fx

Presets with VST : This is a bug that exists in Psycle 1.6+ (and 1.6 too? I don't remember).

It is due to an uninitialized variable, which was supposedly only used for Native plugins, but it wasn't the case.

Right now I've fixed it, but a major rework of the presets should be made.


MIDI with FX's: Well.. it is not with twk's, but with mcm command:

mcm 80 01 3F7F <- this sets note on to midi channel 0 (80) , to the machine 01 , with note 3F (0 = B-0 .... ) and velocity 7F (full) try sending it to an effect and should work.
