VST to make nice pads?        Go on top to this Page

I'm after a great movie soundtrack style pad - not a hard lead sound but a lush, soft sound for a track I'm working on. Can anyone recommend a good (freeware) VST that can do this or even a Psycle native plugin preset? I've looked through a lot but not found the sound I'm after. I love the M3 synth, BTW.

Shaun.

Thanks guys,
I'll check all of these out and let you know. I've used Phantom and it's excellent, yet I'm still struggling with it for that elusive sound. The random paramaters option brings up some good stuff!

Sholley, if you're brave enough to spend some time on tweakings, try the wonderful crystal

it's fantastic

I used to spend up to 4 hours on one sound on my old Korg MonoPoly hardware synth but those days have passed and I have less patience now - but I'll give Crystal a go!

Cheese Machine is excellent - just what I was after. Thanks alot for the advice.

The only hardware I now have left is my Korg Monopoly, a 12 track mixer and a Yamaha SY85. PC music is the future!

I have Yamaha PSR-36 toy synth. It has a nice "digital synthesizer" to play with

though it's my friend's. not mine. but who cares.
