Can't seem to get VST plugins to work

I've checked the right directory, I've made sure to extract the files first, but so far, I've only gotten two of the many VST plugins I've downloaded to show up on the "add machine" window. And yes, I remembered to click "check for new plugins" as well as "regenerate plugin cache"

Are you using the 32 or 64 bit version? If you are running the 64 that is probably your problem as at present it doesn't natively support loading 32 bit plugins (which are from what I have seen the most common type by far.)
