I am unsure.. What do you mean? a non-GPL version?
I can't really say... He released 1.0.1, and after that, there was 1.1 by Mats.
I then made the 1.5 versions and in 1.6 I got the collaboration from some people.
Versions from 1.7 to 1.7.4 where developped with pooplog, and after that, there is the first big change in code (moving from visual studio c 6 to vc 2002 and soon after vc 2003), done by bohan.
We could think of that as the start of GPL code, even though Psycle does not say explicitely to be GPL.
Many sources do have the GPL headers and we commit to the GPL idea, but the truth is that we don't even distribute the COPYING file with the GPL license.
Now that I think about it, you might find easier to work from the 1.7.4 source, since it is one block that compiles straight (well, in the hopes that the vc6 project can be updated to 2010/2012 version).
