Sampling in 1.10.1?

Hey everyone, hoping this is just something that I am doing wrong, but for some reason, it doesn't seem that sampling is working for me in 1.10.1. I'll give you a rundown of what I'm doing, and if you see anything I am doing wrong, please let me know so I can fix it:

1) I open Psycle, and add a sampler machine. The machine comes up, and I can connect it to the master with no problems.

2) I click the "Load" button up on the toolbar, and it brings up Windows Explorer, allowing me to choose the file I want to sample. I do, and it adds the sample to the instrument rack.

3) I then try to play the sample with one of the C-4 key. This doesn't work, so I try all of the other keys, with the same result.

* The sample is a .wav file, and I can play it in Windows Media Player with it sounding fine. However, I can't get it to work in Psycle. I've also tried different .wav files, with the same result.

Well, I think that's it. Any help would be greatly appreciated, because I've tried everything I know how to try.

Can you confirm that the audio driver in psycle is set up in a sane way and check your windows sound settings. There is a chance that the audio is being sent somewhere that it shouldn't. Also, does the VU meter in psycle indicate that something is happening?

I just looked into the audio setup in Psycle, and I've tried all of the different settings that were available. No, the VU meter doesn't do anything when I try to play the sample. When looking at the audio driver settings, i saw two things that I didn't really understand: the sample rate and then next to that something about bits (the bitrate perhaps? I'm not really sure). Could these have something to do with it?

No, neither one of those is likely to be the problem.. If the VU meter doesn't move that means that the problem is happening before the audio driver is involved. Could you possibly post a file that demonstrates the problem you are having?

Out of interest, can you get sounds out of any other machines, or it's just the sampler that has a problem?
