For Bass i am using a vst called taurus, it is a copy of the old taurus pedal bass made famous by Geddy Lee in Rush. I find many vst just do not have any volume or punch. Lots of drum and bass vst's sound great, but few have the power for recording. This one can play right along side your fave power synth , such as superwave; my fave.
