| Anyone done this before? | |
For a live show I'm thinking of running psycle as a sort of backing track and then playing Guitar over the top, and pretty much I was wondering if anyone else has tryed this, and how did it go?

Sounds great, never done it but from experience of watching other live electronic acts some general ideas I can think of:
* make sure your laptop is pretty stable and won't crash halfway through
* make sure it reboots pretty fast if it does crash
* make sure it doesn't start jittering because your virus checker decides to run itself while you're playing...
etc. etc.
* do a soundcheck beforehand so you know what it sounds like through the PA and get a chance to tweak it
As for psycle itself, I guess all you'll need to do is hit play and you're off

oh yeah another idea i had was to use the xbox 360 guitar hero controller (because its USB and so would be easyist really) and using it to control psycle or a sampler or something.
more of a comedy thing then anything, but still it'd be cool
