I am working as a teacher , an I have used trackerprogram for simple composing.
The thing is: Most of teachers dont know how to use Psycle.
Tutorials on video is excelent. But if anyone could make som lessons in beats, chords and simple composing that teachers with no experience with trackers could use, it would be helpful.
Psycle is free, and that is a bonus for most of school. If we could make som lessons that teachers could use in their musical teaching, Psycle would be introdused for many new potential users. And the schools around the world could do a better job

On a positive note, I write a monthly column in Computer Music magazine called 'Totally Trackers'. I've brought up Psycle many times and also include a link to the Psycle Website on the cover-mounted DVD.
I hope this helps, because I think Psycle is amazing and deserves recognition.

not sure if it's already been done or suggested but i was thinking of doing a dj set made up of songs from psycle to post around the net and hopefully bring new devotees to the community......I know the styles vary a lot within the songs posted so it might end up being a series of mixes (time allowing)........ can anybody suggest favourite tracks that they would like to feature?

try CAM STUDIO....
or SPEEDY video screen capture
or SHOOT2PNG, it can fonction from a usb key.....
there is also that (not a screen captur so) : VIRTUAL MAGNIFYING GLASS, that can really improve you SCREEN CAPTURES in a FANCY WAY.....I just love that freeware, testing it is to adopt it, so brilliant idea and looks this stuff....
and you have also this online MOVIE MAKER called JAYCUT or this wonderfull DIAP MAKER....VUVOX ....
so with all them you'll be able to do goood PSYCLE videos.........
but some people here may think that this is spam to guide others to HELPFULL STUFF

I think the minimum and easy way of spreading is maikng "credits" to Psycle dev team in your works.
I post such info in my new songs (in file, in song page), so each release hase notice "created with Psycle".

Regarding to video tutorials of Pscyle (screen cupture).
I cheked the soft saggected in this topic. It works, but it works on low sound quality.
Here is my solution in brief.
- Software:
--- VirtualDub 1.9.0
--- Lagarith Lossless Video Codec (http://lags.leetcode.net/codec.html)
- VirtualDub settings:
--- Video - Compression - Lagarith
--- Video - Source - Track mouse pointer, Entire Desktop, Cupture mouse pointer image
--- Video - Set Custom format - 640x400 @ 32bit ARGB (for wide screen)
--- Video - No display (decrease CPU usage)
--- Audio - Raw audio format - PCM 44100Hz stereo 16bit
--- Audio - Compression - No compression
--- Cupture - Settings - 6 fps
--- Cupture - Timing - Do not resync (by default slows down audio to sync), Correct video timing
- Results:
--- aproximate file size 26Mb/min
--- Picture quality same as original screen
--- Mouse points 640x400pix cupture region (so no screen magnifying needed)
--- Good sound quality
--- Small nuber of dropped frames( for Celeron 1,8, 512RAM laptop)
--- Resaving in another lossless/raw format will change picture color tone
- Postprocess (for pubishing):
-- Cut unwanted frames
-- Save as FFV1 compressed avi (file size becomes aprox. 2 times larger)
-- Edit with 3d party app (AviDemux)
-- Convert and publish (AviDemux, WinFF, etc.)

Facebook is not that bad... You just have to be carefull using it...
What about creating a myspace profil ?
It'll be possible tu put up to 6 songs made with psycle and the musician using psycle could put the psycle profil in there top friends...

LOADS of people (that includes me) have spent lotsa time to either get psycle to the point u ALL use it or getting that community up and running.

Psycle rocks. I will be using this formy next youtube music video for sure, and I will be adding Psycle to my credits. I have been using madtracker and modtracker , and in the old days on the amiga it was med. Psycle just rocks. I found you guys after trying buzz, which would not run on my vista laptop, and so I saw that Psycle was very similar so I gave it a try and in just a few mins I had it working, what a refreshing surprise. So I am up to promote it for sure. Check out my last madtracker music video here, and my nest one with psycle will be up soon.

I have just discovered Psycle in my search for a free alternative to FL Studio (which I use personally). After summer break's over, I'm going to teach some students a little bit about making electronic music, and I plan to use Psycle along with different free plugins 
I'm definitely not an expert in the program yet, but I have about 4 months to learn it, and it is very promising so far
