Recently, I got intersted in spread Psycle in other forums, but there's so much people stuck with older (and buggy) versions. So, less people is attempted to try out the newer versions.
I'm trying to put an article at Wikipedia, but the mods keep telling the article doesn't reach the "notability" criterium. If I'm interpreting right, it means that Psycle isn't worth to mention, due to it's small user base.
So, I keep thinking about an method to invite people to try Psycle, and I think the only way, for now, is to make reviews for music sites and posting messages at sig areas.
I made a crappy sig bar, and I'm planning to do a review for KVR, since it's one of the most important music sites on the web. The reviews on music sites makes a huge diference too. A well-done review can generate interest in possible users.
But... is there some interest in see Psycle gettin' massive?
In fact, maybe I'm missing the true point of this community. Maybe there's no interest from the developers/older users in turning Psycle in a "mainstream program", like Renoise, Buzz or even the comercial sequencers.

This is exactly what I think, sampler. If more people get interest in Psycle, there's more people interested in developing it.
I wish I could do some coding...
For now, I made a review for KVR, because the current review is a little dated. Also, reading the KVR Psycle entry, it says that the last update was March 2006. The newer updates wasn't noticed.
Is there some Conspiration against Psycle???

one thing makes psycle imho (again) is psycle site. any person that go to the site wonder 'what the hell is this site about???' it's not very interesting, i suppose adding some screenshots.... i suppose??? i'm SURE, adding some screenshots, if not on main page at least in a section for that, would attract more ppl interest.

I think it'd be great if psycle had more active users, coders, community...
Just gotta spread the word like you're doing .. make music, say what you made it with. Mention psycle to friends, etc.
Anyone in the community who can help with that, great! You gotta remember, devs spend enough free time coding, so don't necessary have time to do marketing too
EDIT: oh yeah.. join the last.fm psycle group, too.........

Actually, the last stable release of Psycle is from that date, and was just a bugfix release with some new plugins.
So, i guess it's quite accurate by itself.

I know it for sure. Actually, I'm very afraid of talk about it here, without being an @sshole. It's just a matter of telling people that exists life after Buzz and similar progs.

This is the sad part. Maybe some of you wonder why the hell I keep speaking so much, and didn't put any music for review. It's my own fault, since I can't finish a good song, in order to put here for criticism.
And... what about if I put crappy music online and say: "Hey, I did it with Psycle!!" Guess what? People will get away from Psycledelics, ahahahahah!

It would be good! Maybe I'll do it, but only when I have a decent song!
BTW, I think sampler is right: this site can tricks the unaware surfer. I don't know, but this site seems to me like those crazy LSD-fuelled psy-trance sites, LOL!

No way, don't worry, it *should* be talked about. It's in everyone's interests for psycle to get better known IMO

Naw, no way... just posting to the forums is a really valuable contribution, it keeps the site alive I was playing around with psycle for a long time before i posted any music here

last.fm group is just for anyone that uses last.fm (which is a great site just for listening to music) and is interested in psycle for whatever reason.. don't have to be making/uploading music! I set it up for the purpose of being one small way of hopefully spreading word around (friends on last.fm see you're a member of psycledelics group, think "what's that?", have a look at the site.. maybe a year later they use psycle

First, hello to all. This is my first msg here. Just started with some music makin as hobby. Tried renoise, then here and there, but psycle is just what i need. Many thanks to developers, and everyone who make the thing running.
Second. As to initial topic, I thing it is a good idea to develop some reference design for promo, like T-shirts, site banners, avatar etc. I would peronally like to make a psycle T-shirt and go to some electro party. But I just cant find any pic larger that this page header. If there is some sketches, would be interested. If no, lets make a contest for official promo pic.

I made a video tutorial and posted it on YouTube. It's very, very simple, but hopefully some viewers will follow the link.
I'll do some more advanced ones in the future.

EDIT: I forgot to say that I used a free program called CamStudio to record it.
