I'm still fumbling around working with automation and I am wondering if there is a way to automate bypass on an effect. I'm working on something for Compo8 and I'm trying to use Goaslicer but only on certain sections and I'd rather automate it than have two identical instruments with Goaslicer on one. Thanks

Jaz has added a brand new feature in the latest release of Psycle (1.8.2) that does exactly that.
from tweaking.txt (I'm also in the process of updating the help file which will contain all this info as well):
FE2x Set Bypass mode on/off for the specified machine ( --- .. 02 FE2x )
Make x non-zero to bypass the machine, make it zero to turn the machine back on again.

Thanks, I'm downloading the new version right now.

Wouldn't that mute the instrument coming through the effect as well?

Super! Thank you, I hadn't gotten around to noticing that nice addition!

you can have two muters, one going straight to the next effect, and one going to the effect you want to bypass. switch one off and the other on. now reverse.
