I don't really see why this would be any more useful than deleting all the patterns and saving the psy under a different name???

What I would find handy however would be to be able to save a generator and all its downstream effects as a group so that they can be easily transferred into a different machine layout.

I think the same than someone else. That feature has been asked many times.

But i miss a feature in Psycle, when creating a new song if you have one song opened Psycle should ask if u want to delete all, only patterns, only machines, only samples and combinations.

very good ideas here. It would be interesting to create a virtual live band. Same sounds, different songs.

Like the AC/DC philosophy applied to Tracking.... Make the same 3 albums 12 times over. Just make them 3 really good ones, and nobody will notice.

(I'm not actually trying to be sarcastic, I just think it's a good quiote from Angus and the boys)

This would actually be quite nice - think cascading style sheets, you could assign certain machine-connections as styles, and then changing the "style sheet" (preset) would change your machines + presets on the fly. And having a preset selection of machines selectable from a menu would be nicer than loading an empty song, at least from an organisatory viewpoint.

But, I'd rather have a working VST host first
