| Some small improvement ideas | |
#1
Make the instrument selector loop also backwards. I mostly use keyboard shortcuts to control Psycle, and it's very, very annoying when I'm going from, say, instrument 08 to 1A (which is the last instrument) but accidentally loop back to 01, and can't just go backwards one step to 1A but have to go through every instrument again...
#2
Make the default for VSTs "parameter" instead of "MIDI channel". I need to tweak parameters much more often than change the MIDI channel (since most VSTs I use aren't multitimbral anyway), and is there even a keyboard shortcut for changing this option?
#3
Change the interpolation routine so that commands that only have an effect on note-on, are written only on rows with a note. This way sample offset, pan etc slides would look much more tidy than now... I end up cleaning the effect columns by hand, which takes time...

I agree with #1 and #2, but #3 needs to be a separate function i.e. "Remove extra tweaks" or something similar, since sometimes I want a value in every row e.g. a filter sweep on a long note.

Read what I said: I said "on those actions that only have an effect on note on"
I meant the internal sampler only, you can never know this for sure with a synth... I think at least sample offset, pan & volume only have an effect on note-on? Still I do interpolate slides on those all the time, resulting in messy patterns.
