ok, i'll start :

long time since i haven't played with the native synths, and i got troubles with 2 of them :
- first, Phantom : no way to make chorus and phazer work
- Blitz : when playing notes from PC keyboard : no arp. when playing notes form MIDI keyboard : always arp

Bug in note duplicator. When changing octaves for synth, continuous sound is output.

Hi, I'm a newbie. I've got this bug at least ten times when playing with VSTs without effects (and never got it with the binaries) :

Machine had an exception in function 'process'.
class operating_system::exceptions::translated
microsoft nt structured exception (external cpu/os exception): 0xc0000005: STATUS_ACCESS_VIOLATION: The thread tried to read from or write to a virtual address for which it does not have the appropriate access.
This is a serious error: the machine has been set to bypassed/muted to prevent it from making the host crash.
You should save your work to a new file, and restart the host.

Is it a Psycle bug, or just a misconfiguration ?

Seems a problem of Psycle with that VST. Some ones still doesn't work good under Psycle. A pity.

Let's hope devs have a look at VST Host.

btw., Which VST is that?

StringThing and also UGO StringTheory.

marcphoenicis, both String Thing and String Theory are VSTs made in Synthedit. There are known bugs related to this kind of plugins in Psycle.

I hope that this problems will be solved when the new VST host will be implemented.

( String Theory is one of my freeware favourites )

I think it's not a VST problem, I've got the same bug with the native synth M3.

And I also got this error in the plugin scan log with a native and 2 VST :

c:\program files\psycle\psycleplugins\blwtbl.dll ... cache says it has previously been disabled because:
class psycle::host::exceptions::library_errors::symbol_resolving_error
could not resolve symbol 'GetInfo' in library: c:\program files\psycle\psycleplugins\blwtbl.dll
microsoft api error: 127 0x7f: La procédure spécifiée est introuvable.

I wonder if the two errors are linked together...

Has anyone experienced this ? The new version runs more efficiently in pattern editor view than in machine view. For instance, when in machine view the sound appears to be jerky and clicky but the moment I switch to pattern editor any sound defects stop.

i wonder if it's because psycle has to draw more graphics in the machine view? It has quickly changing VU meters etc, whereas the pattern view just has some text and simple colours.

Going from last sequencer position to the next one down will add a new pattern at the end.

Is that a bug or a feature ? I consider this a bug but it's often useful

I almost reported that as a bug It can be both : hindrance and aid.

As sampler reported, it is a feature.

This means: being at the last position, and wanting to go one more position, adds a new pattern to the sequence.

BUT, if you just want to go to the last one, and for that, press the shortcut key without unpressing it, when it reaches the end, it stops. This was the only moment when the feature seemed to be bad, so i put a check.


js : Yes. I think *in some situations*, the machine draw becomes slower. I am unsure about it. It might have been introduced when the "machine selected" drawings where added (those four corners), but could be also something special of some skins ( for example, transparency).

I will investigate at some point where the problem comes from.

Psycle is becoming a really robust and useful program, minimizing the effort of translation from concept to sound.

One of the few things that bugs me:
When entering a value into any of the columns in the bottom row of a pattern, it jumps to the top, and I have to scroll back down to continue editing. This makes it a big pain to edit anything in the bottom row. My mouse wheel is taking a beating. (hit a few keys, it jumps to the top, fling the mouse wheel down, click, hit a few keys, it jumps to the top, fling the mouse wheel down, click, hit a few keys...)

One more!
When putting a TWS command where there previously was a TWK command, it does not preserve the middle two values. It would make sense that a TWK could be changed to a TWS and vice versa without having to re-enter the values in the related columns.

I think these are minor changes but would help a great deal. The program is great already, so thanks a lot devs!
