hah! this is funny. Before posting previous reply i hadn't noticed any problems. Hours later i HAD problems and i supposed they were due to Karlkox Surround. Audio driver freezes, u have to re-set the audio driver in order the audio comes back.
I'm thinking too (currently trying) in adding a 'Reset audio driver' option.... don't know if i'll be able though...

This happens with some other native plugs too, I had an instance where Argurusynth did this every time I loaded a track and tried to use it. The same preset didn't cause problems on a new track, so I have no idea where the problem is.
The option to reset the driver would be useful so the user wouldn't be forced to restart every time this happens.
