| Panning | |
I was wondering about panning... Is there a way of panning a machine by tweaks in the pattern view when that machine doesn't have an inbuilt pan parameter (as a lot don't)? Or is the only way to do it to add a panning effect to the chain and tweak that?
If so, I think it would be a good idea to have a very basic pan machine, which solely does panning from left to right and nothing else (no automatic sweeping or anything fancy)... I say this because I believe it's good to have basic versions of various machines for people new to Psycle (and music making in general), so they're not overwhelmed by parameters and put off.
That said, I'd like to try my hand at coding machines and make a really basic panning effect, if people think such a thing is useful... what do people think?

You already can pan any machine from the pattern using the command F8xx, see the following file (or the copy on your "Docs\" subdir) : http://psycle.pastnotecut.org/download/f...cs/tweaking.txt
Near the end, you can see the "tracker commands", one of them is this "pan machine".
The syntax is : "--- .. 05 F880 Sets the panning of Generator 5 to 80 (Middle)"
About a panning machine. it is not needed, since you can do that with this comamnd and a dummy machine.
Good luck

Thanks! I somehow missed that when I read the tweaks document...
