getting started

I've used a previous version of Psycle and I recently downloaded the most recent version. I don't know what I'm doing wrong, but I cannot get any sound out of the software. I can assign notes in the tracking window but when I press play, the track bar stays stationary and will not scroll down. Any suggestions?

I know this is kind of vague. I hope somebody understands mi problemo.

Have you tried setting your sound card up again?

Configuration -> Settings -> Input/Output

that did it. I have audio.

I still have another question, this one regarding VST instruments and effects. Is there a limit to the number of effects which can be loaded into pscyle? Are there any VST plugs which cause a conflict with psycle?

Every time I try to load my cache of VSTs into psycle I get an error message and the platform crashes.

any opinions will help.

As far as I know there is no limit to the number of VST's you can have on your machine in the psycle VST directory. You ARE however limited to 128 machines per song (64 generators, and 64 effects) due to addressing.

As for VST problems, Yes there are some that just don't work. First, try deleting your Cache.map and re-load. If that doesn't fix it, you will have to sift through all your VST DLL's to find the offending one(s).

This reminds me of the "english" version of Ketchup Song.
