  Open/save preset VSTi problem

Not sure if it was reported, haven't found it with a quick search.

The problem is that Programs/Open (Save) preset menu item for VSTi's stopped to work. It worked in 1.8.8, in newer versions on the same computer and setup nothing happens when I click on the item.

Hello.

The option was broken in the release 1.10.0, but it should be working in 1.10.1 (released this week).

I've tried it with a couple of VSTs that I have here (Superwave P8 and ultrafunk fxreverb), and this is the result:

Programs->Open Preset: Open dialog appears and I choose if I want banks or programs in the dropdown box.

If I select a program, that one is loaded in the current program position (i.e. the program currently selected in the VST).
If I load a bank, all is reloaded.

Said that, loading a program into Albino 3 using Psycle's menu didn't work. It seems that albino uses the bank directories as synth banks, and when one loads a preset using its own load button, it just changes the bank to use that directory.

Probably, the VSTi that you tried also doesn't let default programs to be modified. Try selecting an empty program (if the synth allows it).

Actually I made the post because I tried 1.10.1 and saw that that problem is still there.

I.e. I still have the problem in 1.10.1 - when I click the option, nothing happens. No file dialog appear. When I click it for first time, there is a small delay like something is going to happen, but nothing happens. When I click next time, there is no delay or anything. It is the same for all the 12 VSTi's I have.

Mmm... Which version of windows are you using? (Or if it is wine or other emulator).

Here, on Vista 32bits, and Win 7 64bits works as expected. (Don't have the pc with XP here right now to test).

XP SP3, 32 bit.

Just checked it on Vista Home 32 bit, indeed it works there. My main PC has XP only, so it would be great if it is possible to fix the problem eventually.

It's not a OS problem.
