  any help to start?

Hi,
I'm a new user of Psycle so i followed the instructions to start..but i have a problem with generators..When i click on generators i only see note duplicator, sampler, sampulse and wave in recorder and no machines (e.g Arguru Synth 2)..so what can i do to start?

Hello.

I guess the plugin cache was not generated.

On the add new machine dialog, there is a button called "Regenerate plugin cache". Click on it and wait (a progress dialog should popup).

If nothing new appears, then you need to check if the plugin directories got set up properly. To do that, go to configuration menu, Settings, and Directories tab.

You need to configure the native plugins to the directory of psycle plugins (by default it is a subdirectory in psycle installation dir), and the VST plugins directory, if you have any.

The first-time launch should automatically configure and do those, but there might be a problem. I will have to verify that it still works.

Thanks for the help but i tried both of the ways and nothing happened..(i have the latest version of psycle if this is helpful)..is there anything else i could do?

Did you post this on a psycle tutorial youtube video by any chance? because I've just had someone ask me the same question? lol

When you click on gear rack, look on the right hand side of the panel and you should see an area that says "Group machines by" what is this set to?

I was just playing around and noticed that if you set it to "Host type" and you click the plus Icon for "internal machines" ONLY dummy plug, note duplicator, sampler, sampulse etc are displayed.
If "host machine" IS selected, try setting this to "machine role" instead. Then hit the plus icon on "Sound generators (instruments)" You should be seeing a list of plug-ins.

Otherwise I'm not sure what's going on. I've never came across this problem before.

Hope you get it sorted, let us know how it turns out

i would also like to help me with something else..i have e.g the trumpet playing as a machine but when i add the drum or other machines how can i listen to their sound at the same time? and how can i create a music file so that i save what i create?

There is a tutorial in the help file. You can follow it to make your first songs.
Also, an older tutorial can be seen in this link: http://psycle.pastnotecut.org/download/f...go/upwego5.html

Finally, there are several example and tutorial songs included. Find them in your documents folder, under the Psycle Songs folder.
