From MosriteMecha on 18.04.2010, 06:16: Hope this is not a dumb question. Can't get VSTs to work! Hey folks, just beginning to mess around with this incredible piece of software and I love it. I've had fun with the default machines but obviously want more and now I am trying to use a bunch of free VSTs I downloaded, but no matter what I do I cannot get psycle to recognize them! I have read on the FAQ that Psycle wants them in the "VstPlugins" folder and not "PsyclePlugins." I have put them in that folder and still when I go to select my machine none of them show up. I thought perhaps because the folder was in program files and silly windows wanted it to be read-only that was the problem but turning off read-only has not helped either. |
From ant1 on 18.04.2010, 10:27: Click the "Regenerate Plugin Cache" or "Check For New Plugins" button (either will do the job, I think). Hope it works! |
From shadowbane on 18.04.2010, 18:18: Also, you can have VSTs in any directory you want, you just have to set your plugin directory in the options window. (I have mine in C:\Program Files\VST\)
