  Psycle development Status: April 2009

It's been way too long since i posted here, so I apologize for that.

Here is the current status of work for the next version of Psycle:

In around a month or so, we plan to release a first beta of the new Psycle. (And we do mean beta)

This version won't have many changes on the surface, but it will be the first version to use psycle-core, the multiplatform engine that was developed for qpsycle.
This is a very important step, as it provides us for a way to develop the engine independently of the program it runs on. Also, it heps us to develop other tools (players and such) without having to branch the source of Psycle, or having compatibility issues.

With this first beta, we want to know about regressions, bugs, things that broke and whatever you think it's not right.

We are focused mostly on making this engine change to go as less disruptive as it could, even though there are parts that work really differently.
In the long run, this should add stability (remove old code from psycle, or rework it), and flexibilize the future changes with a more object oriented design (which several parts lack)

So thanks for the patience, and see you soon.
