A way to limit random panning of samples?

OK, when working with samples there is a random panning option. When pressed the sample plays at a random point in left/right space. Is there a way to limit what part of this left/right space it plays in? Thanks.

Also, is there a machine (native if possible) that can convert the stereo to mono (this could be used in the solution to the above problem if it exists)

there you go:

http://psycle.free.fr/zealan/zstereo.dll

keep in mind that the function i used is linear, that is side panned signals are a bit quieter. if you're bothered by this, give a message

shadowbane, the default settings for the 'Haas' effect machine (native psycle plugin) convert the signal to a mono signal.

So it does, but I don't think it is supposed to. It has a setting for normal swapped or mono mix, but it converts it to mono no matter which is selected. I think that may be a bug?

Thanks for the help though.
