|-- Record multiple track in real time at the same time. (http://psycle.pastnotecut.org/threadid.php?boardid=3&threadid=2235)

Record multiple track in real time at the same time.

Ok, I wanted to record myself playing my keyboard in psycle. When I tried to do this however, it only let me record one note per line. I obviously can not hold SHIFT the entire time because I am playing with both hands.

Thanks for any help.

shadowbane, you have to enable record in multiple tracks in pattern view (the R in the headers), as many as your desired polyphony extent.

btw i'm curious as to what would holding shift cause while playing

SHIFT is used to input chords ins pattern editor.

Hold SHIFT and press the corresponding notes in your computer keyboard.

I expect this feature to improve in newer releases (especially once we move to the new event based patterns from the linux version), but right now you can do it like outsider says.

Enable several record channels in the pattern, press play and play with your keyboard.

heh, if i knew that once, i'd forgotten... could be useful. thanks.

btw, event based patterns...? that sounds good...

I had ~8 channels selected for recording. When I pressed the first note it showed up in channel 1 2nd note in channel 2 etc. No notes were in the same line.

The way it works right now is putting the new note/tweak i the next recording track, until it reaches the end, and starts again from the first recording track.

Really, select them, press play, and play some chords. You'll understand it faster that way.
