Parameter Linking Automation
I've had this idea for a while, but now that I've learnt a bit of C++, it's something I'd really like to do for Psycle.
Here's my idea in its current form (it's open to changes, suggestions from everyone would be great):
What I would like to be able to do is to automate the parameter of one machine based on the parameter of another e.g. one filter cutoff parameter could be set to match another filter cutoff, or a volume etc. In mapping parameter values to another parameter, you could also set the scaling (e.g. if you wanted it to have less of an effect, or if you wanted to control a parameter with values from 0 to 128 by a parameter that has values from 0 to 65535) and maybe an offset parameter of some kind.
The way of actually mapping this parameters could be done in a few different ways, but my initial idea is to be able to set it in a new dialog window, with a big listbox showing parameters mapped to each other. You'd also be able to group/order them to make it easy to use.
What does everyone think?
I'm prepared to code this - the "Custom Categories" section of the New Machines dialog is almost complete, I've just got to finish a couple of things off and sort out a couple of bugs - then I will be able to concentrate on this new idea, if everyone's keen.
