I'm surprised nobody mentioned this yet, as it happened yesterday.

Bob Moog, inventor of many great synthesizers, including the Mini Moog, and more recently the Moog Voyager, passed away yesterday.

In case you didn't know... he isn't one of those guys who "somebody else would have done it if he didn't". Oh no, Bob Moog's synths, particularly the Mini Moog, had their filters and sound generators personally crafted by himself, and as such he has had a personal influence over just about every genre of music after the mid-late 60's, from rock to rap, and techno to pop.

With the possible exception of the 303, the Mini Moog is the most well-known synthesizer around, even to this day.

Hmmm... maybe a Psycle competetion to celebrate the life of Bob Moog would be in order? Something involving... specific Moog emulators?

As i said, a sad day for electronic (and not only) music.
The compo would be a good tribute to him.

Competitors are only allowed to use Arguru Synth, or another native machine that can only sound something like the Moog.
