| Site back and upgraded |
Posted by: ksn, 27.06.2008, 01:03 .
Following the switch to PHP5 made by our host, the site has been unusable for some days
Hopefuly, JosepMa ([JAZ]) succeeded in tracking all the errors in the php and sql files and upgraded the whole site to make it run with PHP5
Everything should be working well, but don't hesitate to shout if you encounter any problem
You'll also notice the site is faster than ever (the host also made an hardware upgrade)
A note JosepMa wants to add : the nomination period for sourceforge Awards has ended, and they will post the finalists in the following days. Thanks to those of you who have given your support

| Things moving behind the scene |

Hello,
News have been quiet for the most part during this year. A new webmaster (or newswriter) could be handy
That said, development has continued and new builds should be coming in the following months.
Psycle itself hasn't got much changes, because I worked mostly on qpsycle and psycle-core, to which we have put many hopes.
Between the changes that should come, are compatibility improvements with Wine, bugfixes on some vst's (name length problems which could end in a crash), improvements to the mixer machine (which had several bugs, one of which could also crash the host), as well as few features that have been added (possibility to force an instrument to use a specific sampler machine)
During the following two months, I'll focus again on Psycle, and polish bugs, and features which don't work well, and I may try importing the LADSPA host from psycle-core to psycle.
This new version will be mostly bugfixes without many additions. Again, this is because most of the attention has been put on qpsycle and psycle-core, of which a first version could come by the year's end.

| wiki moved to wikia.com |
Posted by: [JAZ], 28.03.2008, 17:56 . |
Hello,
This post is to inform you all that the psycledelics wiki has been moved onto the wikia.com service. They have provided us support for data migration, and it should work just like it was already. ( link is http://psycle.wikia.com . Else, the old link will redirect to the new site)
The users have been migrated aswell, so try login with your username and password. If you cannot, try prepending PSYCLE- to your username. (More info here
http://psycle.wikia.com/wiki/Psycle_Wiki:Move )
Also, i guess i should give you some more info about what's going on with development:
Most of the efforts are centered now on qpsycle. During these few months of 2008, many errors have been fixed, new features have been added, portability has been improved and slowly, the features of the current Psycle version are making its appearence (the send/return mixer already is present, although the UI is not yet finished).
If we can keep at this pace, I would expect a public version already by the year's end, and which would mean a real step ahead. (just don't expect everything on this first version).

The site has been offline for several hours, because of a database problem.
We're sorry for that.
Everything is back to normal now, so enjoy !
